Aging can be seen with the wrinkling and sagging skin. That is why it should be taken care of to help slow down aging process. Due to harsh environment and time, our skin becomes dry and tough. If we do not know how to care of it will greatly show in our faces and body.

In order for you give good care on your skin it is very important to learn how it operates. There are three layers of skin; the innermost is the subcutaneous layer that contains fat cells. The mid layer is the dermis; this layer contains the connective tissues. The outermost layer is the epidermis; it is the protection of the inner skin from the contamination that the environment may cause.

Cells from the innermost layer travel from the bottom to the top and once they reach the top they shed off. Over the course of time the cells in the uppermost layer becomes thin because and less collagen is produced from the cells. These are the major causes of wrinkling and sagging.

Sweat glands also decrease in number overtime which leads to dry skin. Cells also decrease in size as time go by, even more contributing to the sags and wrinkles of the skin not to mention the effect of the UVA and UVB radiation from the sun. Radiation can cause a lot of damage to the wrinkling skin.

Cleansing and moisturizing is very essential for the skin. To get rid of the dirt and dead skin cells you need to cleanse it. Pimples and acne are major causes of dirty skin. Though cleansing can help prevent problems such as pimples it can also make the skin dry because it removes the natural moisture. This is why the use of moisturizers is very important to help replace its natural oils.

Liquid cleaners are much better than the usual traditional soap since it has moisturizer and Vitamin E that helps prevent drying out. Moisturizers on the other hand help maintain skin's elasticity. Heavy moisturizers should be applied at night and thinner ones at daytime.

Water helps a lot in hydrating the skin, so you need to drink plenty of water everyday; it also helps the body to function well. Water helps moisturize the skin naturally. Keeping all these good habits will help you age gracefully.
