Many people like to have bronzed skin. Athletes, people who train in gyms, people with high-profile jobs, executives and many more prefer to have an even, all year tan. Then there are those who like to begin their tan before they go on holiday to a hot destination. This is very sensible, because it is too much of a shock to the skin to go from no sun to 40c in one day. It is far better to prepare your skin to get used to higher temperatures before you go.

This is all very well if you have your home in a hot part of the country, but if you did you would not need to keep topping your tan up anyway. Therefore people turn to tanning beds, tanning booths and tanning lamps. Some people buy their own tanning bed or booth, but most people go to a tanning salon. If you have a spare room and some spare money, owning your own tanning bed is definitely a superlative luxury.

Having your own tanning bed means that you do not have to plan journeys to the tanning salon, that there is no travelling or waiting and that your tanning bed is always waiting for you. However, you will be unsupervised, so it is a very good idea to read up on the health and safety advice associated with tanning beds. There should have been a booklet with the tanning bed when you bought it, but if you bought it second hand it could have been mislaid.

If your safety pamphlet has been lost, you could write to the manufacturers and suggest to pay for a replacement or you could just follow the general advice that applies to all tanning beds. Another good idea is to take a few sessions at a tanning salon and learn as much as you can. However, in general, treat your tanning bed as you would the sun in the tropics, that is with a great deal of respect.

The first thing you definitely have to do before getting onto your tanning bed is rub a sun tan lotion which includes a moisturizer onto your skin. This is where you will have to employ the most prudence. When you are outside in the sun, you want to block some of the sun's rays, because you want to spend a couple of hours outside.

However, in a way, the opposite is the case on a tanning bed, you want to get bronzed and you do not want to spend hours lying on the bed. Therefore, you will need a specialized moisturizer, tanning lotion. There are enough of them in the pharmacy, just ask.

A lot of people like to wear a head scarf or bathing hat to stop their hair from drying out. Then there are safety precautions such as goggles to take care of your eyes. Never, in any circumstances, look directly into a tanning lamp while it is on without eye protection. If you are going for an all over tan, you might find it useful to put a few sticking plasters or band-aids over your pink bits or men might need a hankie or a flannel.

Check your tanning bed's safety timer, before using the bed for the first time and regularly after that. Make sure that it is precise and that you can depend on it. After the tanning bed session, shower and remoisturize to replenish your skin, but not with the same tanner-moisturizer you used to tan with.

The tanned appearance is both popular and all the rage more now than at any time for decades; people like the brownish luminosity of their skin as it makes them feel fashionable and self-confident. However, at the same time, sun bathing is less and less prudent because of the rise in the quantity of skin cancer injuries. Therefore, substitutes to it have and still are being developed. Artificial tanning using tanning beds or sunless tanning by artificial means such as body lotions, creams, gels or self tanning spray are generally obtainable.

Although the most advanced method of getting a tan is the use of a tanning bed or tanning booth, not everybody can afford to buy their own machine or go to a salon four times a month in order to have their tan refreshened, so the do-it-yourself solutions have become more and more prevalent.

A self tanning spray is a cosmetic product frequently containing DHA that can be employed at home as a sunless tanning solution. DHA is a chemical that causes a reaction with the skin's amino acids, which in turn causes the turning of the top layer of skin a brownish colour. The outcome of a self tanning spray lasts for about six or eight days, if you are wise not to take too long in the shower, if you shun using too a harsh soap and if you do not rub yourself too hard with the towel.

Self tanning presents several challenges and so, while it is less expensive than treatment in a commercial tanning salon, it is also more difficult to get a satisfactory result. It is more difficult to achieve an even tan when using a self tanning spray. The coloring solution needs to be atomized in a thin film with great care not to overlap too much. Overlapping leads to darker tan shades on certain body areas.

Therefore, another drawback of the self tanning spray is that you may need another person's assistance for the process. The back for example is very tricky to spray unless there is someone to assist you. The same problem presents itself for the back of the legs, the nape of the neck and the bottom. If you ask a friend to help you with the tanning, it will make the process a lot simpler.

You must be especially cautious to safeguard your eyes, your lips, ears and other delicate body parts. It is also possible to stain your nails and palms when using a self tanning spray. You could remove this problem by using gloves or wet wipes whenever essential so as not to permit the tanning agent to dry on the palms or your hands or your nails.

Then, last but not least, do not spray too much fluid on your body, because the result may be an unnatural orange glow or a somewhat uneven tan. Although many people frequently use these cans of self tanning spray in its assorted forms, there is no doubt about it that they are a lower quality solution when compared to the superior, but more highly-priced tanning bed or tanning booth.

There are definitely a lot of people who adore the sun for its ability to give them a better skin colour. When you think about this, it is quite obvious, that these people are looking for ways that they can acquire a tanned skin.

The methods that some people employ in order to get a tanned skin consist of getting a tan outdoors from the sun itself, but also, tanning beds, tanning booths, spray on tanners, self tanning lotions and tanning pills. In part, the decision which of these methods you select, depends on the length of time that you can spare to get a perfect tan.

Some people opt for tanning pills, but in reality, they work a little differently from the other, more usual methods. For example, lotions work by spreading some of the liquid, usually oil based, on different parts of your body. It is your choice which parts of you, you want to change the colour of. However, tanning pills need to be ingested orally and so will affect the whole of your body. Furthermore, you will need to select which tanning pills to take, because, unlike lotions, if you use tanning pills, you will have fewer colour choices.

You should be well aware of this important point, because you will need to choose a depth of tan that does not contrast too unfavourably with the colour of other parts of your body like your hair, eyes, lips, etc. You can get these tanning pills in the same shops as you purchase your other tanning requirements.

You must however check the labeling to find out if there are any precautions you will have to take. For example, one of the most important safety measures that you can take, is to see if you might have an allergic reaction to the tanning pills.

Apart from this though, you might also want to find out just what all the media hype over tanning pills is all about. This research will also assist you to decide which of the different tanning pills on the market is the right one for you. In addition, if you look on the Internet, you will get the statistics on the number of people who have encountered problems after using these tablets. At this point in time, you will discover that there are three firm favourites when it comes to tanning pills.

These tanning pills are called EluSun, Deep Tan and Mayan Secrets. The main ingredient for two of these makes is carerenoids. This substance causes the top layer of skin to turn a pinkish colour. The colour might darken over time, but it is necessary for you to keep taking these pills for as long as you require the tan.

The main disadvantage of tanning pills is that these pills are just as dangerous to your health as sun bathing on the beach for hours at a stretch. Once you have found out all the information you can, you will have to decide whether taking tanning pills is worth the risk to your health, just to have tanned skin colour.

There are a number of sun bed bulbs in each tan bed on the market. When you are getting a new, or especially a used or older tanning bed, make a careful examination of the lamps. Make sure that they are real tanning lamps and meet the FDA regulations with regard to health and safety. You should also estimate how easy it is to get at the lamps. Be sure that the bulbs are easy to change when the time comes. It is quite important, and a lot cheaper, if you can perform such routine maintenance yourself, if you buy a home tanning bed.

There are two completely different sorts of lamps used in conventional and high pressure beds. Ensure you get the right sun bed bulbs for your sun bed, because you cannot use any bulbs you like. If you are ordering replacement bulbs on the Internet, check the make and model of your existing lamps carefully. Make sure that the bulbs you are ordering are made for your bed.

High Pressure Bulbs: high pressure beds use quartz lamps in a variety of sizes. The gases inside these bulbs have a pressure that is slightly higher than atmospheric pressure. The lamps in these beds are located in the top of the bed, so that you tan from above only. When you have tanned the skin on one side of your body for about 10-12 minutes, you turn over and tan the other side. The bed of these devices is much more comfortable than a conventional tanning bed.

The biggest benefit of these bulbs is the short time you have to spend on the bed. Since you tan faster, you need to spend less time in the salon, which means it works out cheaper. You can achieve the level of tan you require in about three weeks of three to five sessions a week. With a conventional bed, it would take you at least a month to achieve the same level of colour. Maintaining your tan is much easier too. You only need two or three sessions each month to maintain the colour, compared with that many sessions every week on a conventional bed. Many of these lamps use UVA rays only, not UVB rays which are responsible for burning.

Conventional Sun Bed Lamps: Conventional, or low pressure beds use long tube lamps that look like normal fluorescent tubes. The lamps are situated in the top and the bottom of the sun bed, which means that all the body areas are tanned at the same time, without needing to roll over during the tanning session.

Conventional beds use UVA and UVB rays in varying mixes. Some use both rays and others emit mostly UVA with some UVB rays. UVA rays are responsible for the (premature) ageing effects on the skin and UVB rays are the burning rays that produce sun burn when you are outside in the sun. It is very important to determine which kind of rays your tan bed's bulbs emit. You must ensure you replace your existing bulbs with lamps of the same specifications after about 1,000 hours of use.

Another factor when selecting the type of bed you use at home or in the salon, is the tanning bed lotion you will use. Different lotions are better for each type of bed. The staff at your tanning salon can help you choose a lotion that will work for the bed you are using and your skin type. Regardless of the bed you are using, you should certainly always use a lotion. Lotions help you tan more quickly and moisturise your skin at the same time.

Is click fraud costing your medical spa? If you're one of the tens of thousands of cosmetic medical practices, skin clinics and medical spas advertising online with Google Adwords, it's likely that at least some of the money you're paying every month is sucked out of your marketing fund by click fraud.

The practice of "click fraud" began in the early days of the Internet with software programs that automatically surfed Web sites to increase traffic. This led companies to develop policing technologies touted as antidotes to the problem. (Some marketing executives estimate that up to 20%t of fees in certain advertising categories continue to be based on nonexistent consumers.)

Don't think it's already happening to your skin clinic, med spa or laser clinic? It is. Here's a quote from Michael Caruso, CEO of click fraud services vendor ClickFacts in an interview:

In particularly fraud prone verticals such as finance, class action lawsuits and medical, we see click fraud rates in the 30%-45% range. These are all categories that see high keyword pricing in the auction model. That makes them particularly tasty for click fraud artists. "If you can make more money from the dark side than the light side of search, there are plenty of people who will take advantage. Plus, it's not even technically illegal yet."

There are two main ways that your medical spas and laser clinics marketing budget is being drained by click fraud:

First: your medical spas and laser clinics competitors who see your ad simply click on it, draining your advertising dollars. Second; click fraudsters set up 'affiliate' sites are set up that run skin clinics ads where they are clicked on by bots or employees. These sites are the most damaging since you're paying for every click without any return at all. Click fraud around skin clinics, med spas or laser clinics can be very lucrative since dermatology or plastic surgery clinics are becoming such a competitive market and the payment per click can be as high as $4-6.

To keep your medical spas budget protected you have very few tools. (Google just gave advertisers $90 million to compensate for click fraud as the result of a class action suit but you can bet they're not that Google's not interested in your individual account.)

Start by limiting your medical spas exposure to potential fraud. If your dermatology or plastic surgery clinic is running an Adwords or Yahoo campaign, limit the maximum amount you spend in a day. You can also look for the tracks of click fraud by examining the reports you might have available to you. Multiple clicks coming from the same IP address are a sure sign of fraud.

(Malaysia has become such a haven for click fraud around medspas and IPL laser treatments.)

If you're going to run search ads, try to protect your skin clinic, med spa or laser clinic. You can be sure that you're the only one trying to.

Tanning bed bulbs are used in every tan bed or suntan lamp on the market. When you are buying a new or especially a used tanning bed, take a good look at the lamps. Ensure that they are real tanning lamps and meet the FDA guidelines for health and safety. You should also consider how easy it is to get at the bulbs. Be sure that the bulbs are easy to change when needed. It is quite important and a lot cheaper if you can perform such simple maintenance yourself, if you buy a home tanning bed.

There are two completely different sorts of lamps used in conventional and high pressure beds. Make sure you get the right tanning bed lamps for your sun bed, because you cannot use any bulbs you like. If you are purchasing replacement bulbs on the Internet, check the make and model of your existing bulbs carefully. Make sure that the lamps you are buying are suitable for your bed.

High Pressure Sunbed Bulbs: high pressure beds use quartz lamps in various sizes. The gases used in these lamps are pressurized to slightly higher than atmospheric pressure. The bulbs in these beds are located in the hood of the bed, so that you tan from above only. When you have tanned the skin on one side of your body for about 10-12 minutes, you turn over and tan the other side. The flat bed of these tanners is a lot more comfortable than a conventional sun bed.

The biggest advantage of these lamps is the short time you have to spend on the bed. Since you tan faster, you need to spend less time in the salon, which means it works out cheaper. You can achieve the level of tan you require in about three weeks of three to five sessions each week. With a conventional bed, it would take you at least a month to achieve the same depth of colour. Maintaining your tan is much easier too. You only need two or three sessions each month to maintain the colour, compared with that many sessions every week on a low pressure bed. Many of these lamps produce UVA rays only, not UVB rays which are responsible for burning.

Conventional Tanning Bed Bulbs: Conventional, or low pressure sunbeds use long tube lamps that look like household fluorescent tubes. The lamps are located above and below the tanning bed, which means that all the body parts are browned at the together, without having to roll over during the tanning session.

Conventional beds use UVA and UVB rays in varying mixes. Some use both and others use mostly UVA with a bit of UVB rays. UVA rays are responsible for the (premature) ageing effects on the skin and UVB rays are the burning rays that produce sunburn when you are outside in the sun. It is very important to discover which type of rays your tan bed emits. You must be sure to replace your existing bulbs with comparable new lamps after about 1,000 hours of use.

Another factor when selecting the type of bed you use at home or in the salon, is the tanning bed lotion you will use. Different lotions are better for each type of bed. The staff at your tanning salon can help you choose a lotion that will work for the bed you are using and your skin type. No matter what bed you are using, you should definitely always use a lotion. Lotions help you tan more quickly and moisturise your skin at the same time.

When you visit a dermatologist, they specialize in treating conditions associated with the skin, nails, and hair. Whether its acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin cancer, moles, melanomas or even skin tumors, they are the ones to go see. True dermatologists are certified by the American Board of Dermatology.

There is nothing different about a dermatologist than any other doctor that is out there. They go through rigorous training, and are required just like any other doctor to go through an accredited medical school or osteopathic school in order to be qualified. Not only is the training very hard, but dermatologist will also have to spend countless hours doing their residency. In the U.S it is required that they complete at least one year of residency to be able to move to dermatology. If the doctor is not a US citizen or graduates medical school outside of the United States then that doctor will be required to obtain a foreign graduate certificate before they are able to practice in the U.S. Dermatologists are considered to be medical specialists, because they are considered to be full trained medical doctor that specialize in skin care.

Most doctors when faced with a patient, who has a skin disorder, will refer them to a dermatologist. This is simply because a dermatologist is an expert and skin disorders and will have many different methods that are more technologically advanced to treat the condition. With that said skin disorders do not always have to do with a skin disease. You see, dermatologists are also experts in skin disorders that accompany aging, hair loss, skin discolorations. However they do frequently deal in such things as Botox injections, and cosmetic treatments as well. There are many different treatments that dermatologists tend to use, such as dermabrasion, chemical peels, laser resurfacing, and tissue augmentation. A dermatologist will be trained extensively in these different methods of treatments with the most effective surgical techniques that are used today.

While the beginning training is enough to call them specialists, dermatologists continue their education. Some will utilize advanced training to gain other specialization titles so they can help you deal with infectious skin diseases, the immune system, and many other categories. In fact, you can even find some of these specialists in hospital settings. This is to help control the contagious skin infections that sometimes occur.

Then of course there are pediatric dermatologists. These specialists are specifically geared towards helping children who suffer from skin conditions. Two of the most common are eczema and normal skin allergies. Keep in mind, this group is usually part of a larger team, so all children with various complications can be treated properly.

Eczema is another area where a dermatologist may treat a large number of children. Characterized by red, scaly or leathery-looking skin that sometimes oozes and becomes crusty, eczema is a skin condition that largely affects infants and young children. As it is commonly associated with an allergic reaction and dermatologists are specially trained to treat skin allergies, their care is usually recommended. To treat eczema symptoms in children, a dermatologist may prescribe either a topical or an oral cortocosteroid medication, as well as recommend home skin care regimens to lessen the severity of eczema's affects. Though most children eventually outgrow eczema, some do not and the condition is carried over into adulthood. Therefore, many dermatologists also treat adult patients with eczema.

The most popular subject around dermatology is the issues with acne. Even though the local retail store products are the first things adolescents try to use, they usually end up at a dermatologist if things aren't working. Whether its pimples, cysts, or even blotchy skin, a dermatologist will be able to handle this for you. While you might not want to hear this, some of the resolutions involve draining the pimples or cysts by using instruments that are only found in a dermatologist's office. Then of course the prescriptions will also be present. The good news is they are utilized to overcome acne so you won't have to worry about scarring. A good chemical peel or even laser surgery can correct the problem.

Now one thing that a lot of people suffer from that definitely requires a dermatologist is psoriasis. This is found in both adults and children, however it is most commonly found in adults. Psoriasis in most cases is very mild but there are some cases out there that are so severe, it has led to arthritis, and the loss of finger and toenails. So as you can see it can get very serious if left untreated but for the most part psoriasis is something that is mild and can be kept in control. There are some home remedies and over the counter medication that has been known to help psoriasis, if you have a more mild case of it.

Something that is probably the most untreated or unlooked at skin disease is that of cancer. This is because most people do not know that you can develop skin cancer from moles on your skin. If you have moles on your skin you really should go to a dermatologist and have them look at them to make sure that they aren't cancerous. Now there are other things that are related to skin cancers, such as melanomas, and skin tumors and in the case of all three of these the dermatologist will likely do some type of skin biopsy, surgical incisions, or a special procedure to remove the tumors.

Now that you know a little bit more into what a dermatologist can do, you probably now realize that there are some things that you can relate to and may need to see one. Dermatologists take care of a wide variety of things in the medical field that help make life healthier and easier. Most people do not realize that your skin is the single largest organ in your body and you need someone who is an expert in the field to make sure that you are safe. Most people who know will not disagree that a dermatologist deserves the same type of attention of a heart or brain surgeon.

by Gail Jones

Tanning bed bulbs, as used in up-market tanning beds, are a big part of the secret to that perfect tan. You can have any type of tan you require with the wide variety of lamps available on the market for sun beds. There are deep-tanning lamps, bronzing bulbs, face lamps and plenty of others too. These high-tech bulbs employ the best technology to tan you comfortably and in safety.

Furthermore, there is a different lamp for every kind of skin too. The sun bed industry produces different lamps for dark to light skin colours. Besides that, you can have a soft tan, a golden tan, a bronze tan, or one the deepest of darkest tans you have ever seen. You can also change the kind of lamp, as your tan progresses, so that you can achieve any combination of quite amazing results.

A tanning bulb is like having your own source of sunlight in a bottle. In fact, it is even better, because you are in control of it! Modern tanning bed bulbs are manufactured to the strictest standards and so are very safe. The sunbed industry and the government have implemented strict rules to guarantee your safety. So, if you carefully follow the instructions supplied with the bulbs, you may feel confident that you will not be putting your health at stake in order to look like a Hollywood film star.

The UV rays that they emit are below the proscribed safety limits to ensure you stay safe, healthy and tanned. Furthermore, there are plenty of choices available to you, varying from UVB and UVA combinations to only UVA. It is quite simply your choice. So, why not choose your tanning bed lamp and give the sun a helping hand?

Sun bulbs are ultraviolet-emitting devices that serve as the primary element of the various sorts of tanning beds and booths on the market. Tanning bed bulbs have as their main purpose the enhancement of a cosmetic tan, although these bulbs also have a reputation for the successful treatment of eczema and psoriasis. The depth and type of tanning produced depends on the spectrum of light produced by the tanning lamps and the vast majority of them produce more ultraviolet light than the sun.

Nearly all tanning bulbs use a unit called a 'ballast' to regulate their power consumption. The ballast stabilizes the flow of electrical energy inside the lamp and is required to ensure that the bulbs use only the necessary amount of wattage that they require in order to work effectively.

There are different kinds of tanning bulbs on the market including reflector sunbed lamps and high output lamps. The majority of lamps fall into two main categories: high pressure and low pressure types. (Within the tanning industry, it is usual to refer to high pressure tanning lamps as bulbs and low pressure tanning bulbs as lamps). Both high and low pressure tanning bulbs require a lack of oxygen in its housing.

High pressure tanning bulbs range in length from three to five inches and operate with 250 to 2,000 watt ballasts, although 400 watt high pressure tanning bulbs are the most popular. They are usually incorporated in the face tanning compartment of a sun bed. High pressure tanning bulbs are most often manufactured from quartz glass and an extra specialized coating, which is essential to filter out the lethal UVC ultraviolet rays.

HP tanning bulbs contain a small amount of mercury or argon and produce ultraviolet light in high concentration. The handling of high pressure tanning bulbs should be performed very carefully and never with naked hands, because even a tiny amount of oil from your hands can cause the bulb to fail prematurely or even crack and the resultant spillage of mercury is potentially very serious. High pressure tanning bulbs ought to be changed after roughly 1,000 hours even though they will continue to produce light for up to 10,00 hours

Low pressure tanning lamps are very similar to normal fluorescent tubes, but the glass tube of low pressure tanning bulbs naturally filters out the harmful UVC ultraviolet rays. Low pressure bulbs have a useful lifespan of between 600 and 1,600 hours with 1,000 hours being the norm again.

Tanning bed bulbs are used in each sun bed or suntan lamp in the shops. When you are purchasing a new or especially a used suntan bed, make a good examination of the lamps. Ensure that they are proper tanning lamps and comply with the FDA regulations with regard to health and safety. You should also estimate how easy it is to get at the bulbs. Make sure that the lamps are not difficult to change when needed. It is quite important, and a lot cheaper, if you can perform such routine maintenance yourself, if you have a home tanning bed.

There are different types of bulbs used in conventional and high pressure beds. Make sure you buy the right sun bed lamps for your bed, because they are not interchangeable. If you are ordering replacement bulbs on the Internet, check the make and model of your existing lamps carefully. Ensure that the bulbs you are buying are made for your bed.

High Pressure Sunbed Bulbs: high pressure beds use quartz lamps in a variety of sizes. The gases used in these bulbs are pressurized to slightly higher than atmospheric pressure. The lamps in these beds are located in the hood of the bed, so that you tan from above only. When you have tanned the skin on one side of your body for about 10-12 minutes, you turn over and tan the other side. The flat bed of these devices is much more comfortable than a conventional tanning bed.

One of the biggest advantage of these HP bulbs is the amount of time you need to spend on the tanning bed. Since you tan faster, you need to spend less time in the tanning salon, which means it works out cheaper. You can get the depth of tan you require in about three weeks of three to five sessions a week. However, with a low pressure bed, it would take you at least a month to acquire the same level of colour. Maintaining your tan is a lot easier too. You only need two or three sessions a month to maintain the colour, as opposed to four times that many visits to a low pressure salon bed. Many of these bulbs produce UVA rays only, not UVB rays which cause sunburn.

Conventional Tanning Bed Bulbs: Conventional, or low pressure sunbeds use long tube lamps that resemble household fluorescent tubes. The lamps are situated above and below the tanning bed, which means that all the body areas are browned at the same time, without having to change positions during the tanning session.

Low pressure beds use UVA and UVB rays in varying mixes. Some use both and others use mostly UVA with a bit of UVB rays. UVA rays are responsible for the (premature) ageing effects on the skin and UVB rays are the burning rays that produce sunburn when you are outside in the sun. It is very important to determine which type of rays your tan bed emits. You must be sure to replace your existing bulbs with comparable new lamps after about 1,000 hours of use.

Something else to think about when selecting the type of bed you use at home or in the salon, is the tanning bed lotion you will use. Different lotions suit different sorts of beds. The staff at your tanning salon will be able to help you select a lotion that will work for the bed you are using and your skin type. Regardless of the bed you use, you ought to definitely always use a lotion or a cream, because they will moisturise your skin and help you get a Hollywood tan more quickly.

Some people are under the mistaken assumption that the only time to use sunscreen is on especially hot and sunny days. The truth is that anytime that were out in the sun, the suns rays are having a negative impact on our skin. There is a constant barrage of ultraviolet light that can cause our skin to age before its time, and it can lead to more serious skin problems in the long term. Even on days when its not all that hot outside, it is a good idea to use sunscreen.

With that said, sunscreen is still most needed when a person is spending a day out in the sun, especially if theyre trying to tan. This is when there is the biggest risk of sunburn, which is a direct result of intense sun exposure. Its important to understand how to choose the right sunscreen for the job. SPF, or sun protection factor, is the rating system that is used to determine the strength of a sunscreen. Usually, a minimum sun protection factor of 15 is recommended for tanning or prolonged sun exposure. However, much more powerful levels of protection are available -- up to a 60 SPF rating or more.

There is another factor to consider, as well. There are multiple types of ultraviolet light rays that are harmful to the skin -- UVA and UVB. Many sunscreens are designed to effectively block only one UVB rays, while UVA are actually the more dangerous type. It is a good idea to look for a sunscreen that is designed to block both types of rays. Sunscreens that contain the ingredients zinc oxide, ecamsule, or avobenzone are the best choices for full-spectrum protection.

When it comes to just routine daily sun exposure, a full application of sunscreen isnt really necessary. If youre just eating lunch outdoors or walking for a little while outside, then you should be okay just using other skin-care products that contain minor sunscreens. For example, there are many facial moisturizers that include enough sunscreen to protect your skin from the suns rays on a day-to-day basis.

One of the negative effects associated with sun exposure to the skin is wrinkling. The sun is one of the primary factors when it comes to skin starting to look aged before its time. For people who are concerned about aging and wrinkled skin, there are special sunscreen treatments that are design both to reduce and prevent wrinkles. Many of these have high SPF ratings for maximum protection from the suns light.

Aside from wrinkles, the other major impact of the sun on human skin is skin cancer. Heavy exposure to the sun without the proper protection can lead to a person developing deadly skin cancers. This is one reason why its especially important to get sunscreen that protects against UVA rays. Despite the fact that UVA doesnt cause any burning sensation or redness, it is actually the primary cause of skin cancer. So when youre looking to buy sunscreen, make sure that you make an educated choice that will truly protect you from skin problems.
