Six Reasons Why You May Be Affected By Easy Bruising, Reason 2 – Serious Disease!
When you are trying to determine why you are bruising easily, you may be concerned that you could be dealing with a serious disorder. The truth of the matter is that there are several conditions which do have easy bruising as a primary or secondary symptom, but in most cases, those conditions are relatively rare.
If you are concerned that your easy bruising is due to a medical disorder of some sort, the first thing that you do is to stay calm and rationally examine your situation. Make sure that you do not fly off the handle but rather that you carefully assess what your level of risk may be. It is vitally important that you take enough time to consider how you can educate yourself so that you can make sure that you are able to thoroughly understand what conditions might be a factor of your easy bruising.
In the first place, easy bruising is a symptom of several of diseases that are genetically based or inherited through one's family. Easy bruising one symptom of Von Willebrand's disease which can be either inherited or contracted. This disease causes the body to have trouble creating its own auto-antibodies, and it frequently associated with your having contracted lupus.
Another variety of disease that can cause easy bruising is Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, which is a connective tissue disorder. This is actually a series of diseases that affect the ligaments, joints, organs and blood vessels, and this series is comprised mostly of inherited disorders.
Maybe the most infamous inheritable disease denoted by bruising easily is hemophilia, where the body does not have the ability to clot its own blood. Bruising associated with hemophilia can be dark and highly visible, even when the original trauma was very minor, and this disease is usually apparent from birth. Hemophilia was at one time prevalent among many of the royal families of Europe.
There are also a number of diseases that can be contracted that have easy bruising symptoms. Diabetes is a that usually develops independently, but there may also a strong genetic link because of a tendency toward contracting the disease among immediate family members. Diabetes is defined as a condition of unregulated metabolism, where abnormally high blood sugar levels are generally present. People who are afflicted by diabetes may have slow healing abilities for their bruising, and the bruises can appear large and dark and continue to be visible much longer than they normally would.
Scurvy is another disease with symptoms that include easy bruising, and scurvy is a disease caused essentially by a vitamin C deficiency. Your body requires vitamin C to heal itself and to produce collagen, and vitamin C cannot be produced by your body on its own. If you do not have sufficient vitamin C in your system, your body will heal itself much less effectively, and any bruises that you get will likely last much longer and be darker and more severe than they would normally be.
Having a doctor's consultation is necessary if your self-education on the diseases that have easy bruising as symptoms, is not sufficient to convince you that you are not at risk. Usually your easy bruising will be found to be caused by something other than by some particular disease.
Once you have determined that your easy bruising is not a symptom of some serious disorder, it's time to consider adding a daily supplement program like the all natural Bruises Be Banned program to help overcome your bruising easily and help prevent bruising altogether.
